Lead Business Systems Analyst
Functional Summary:
· Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
· Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
· Demonstrate expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.
· Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
· Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
· Educate the IT organization on the direction of the business.
· Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
· Demonstrate an understanding of technological trends and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s
Job Duties:
· Lead the process of defining business requirements.
· Lead the process of formulating and defining systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
· Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
· Evaluate systems solutions.
· Provide Formal Requirements Communication Plans.
· Manage Requirements Conflicts.
· Conduct requirements presentation reviews, and obtain requirements approvals.
· Development of an organization’s business systems analysis methodology and/or best practices.
· Lead and participate in PMO process improvements
· Perform specific duties of the Senior BSA as required.
· Provide guidance/coaching to lower level associates.
· Develop and champion business systems analysis training materials
Job Requirements:
· BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience
· Seven (7) or more years of progressively more responsible related experience
· Industry-recognized certification in Business Analysis (e.g., BACP) preferred
· Advanced analytical technical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to persuade, negotiate and resolve issues
· Ability to define complex business issues and determine "best fit" solutions
· Ability to lead multiple teams with varying skill levels and business knowledge
· Demonstrated knowledge of cross divisional work processes and systems
