The Sr. Quality Research Analyst is an expert in the development and on-going support of information systems; to include implementation, and/or upgrades to hardware and software, statistical information, and other projects as assigned. The Sr. Quality Research Analyst leverages analytic, informatics, and healthcare knowledge to provide innovative solutions utilizing best practices, workflow standardization, user-design principles and technology skills to create and maintain system solutions. The Sr. Quality Research Analyst participates/leads multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals as well as operational leadership to meet objectives and drive toward health care transformation initiatives while maintain system accuracy and integrity. Manages project as assigned.
- The Sr. Quality Research Analyst is an expert in the development and on-going support of information systems; to collaborate with all levels of QM staff to understand their clinical reporting, compliance monitoring, and data analytical needs.
- Conceptualize, design, and develop detailed specifications for business intelligence and ad-hoc clinical reports
- Perform statistical analysis of data and proactive monitoring of data sources to identify trends/opportunities.
- This includes the following:
- Analysis of existing databases for available clinically relevant, reliable, and accurate data.
- Development of detailed illustrated specifications for reports.
- Clear communication and documentation of analysis.
- Other responsibilities include:
- Validation of the existing reports for clinical accuracy.
- Validation of the data stored in IBC databases for clinical accuracy.
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in informatics, health care discipline, or business.
- Five to seven years building experience supporting NCQA accreditation. Certification in Informatics. Project Management training and experience.
- Experience with report writer applications such as NPR, Report Designer, Crystal or SQL.
- Four or more years working in clinical or health informatics providing a leadership role implementing and supporting health care clinical systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams.
