The Senior Desktop Engineer will play a major role within the desktop engineering team responsible for the overall design, implementation, and management of the desktop environment.

Key responsibilities will be the following:

·       Maintaining the Active Directory GPO environment

·       Maintaining a consistent approach to Windows as a Service

·       Manage desktop hardening best practices, the testing, approval, and implementation of new features (Windows 10/SCCM CB)

·       Automation of day-to-day tasks

 

Key Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree

·       Minimum 3 years managing/supporting Active Directory Group Policies

·       Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with the following features of Configuration Manager CB:

o   Software Distribution (Applications/Packages/App-V packages)

o   Patch Management

o   Operating System Deployment

o   Compliance Settings

o   Reporting

o   General Troubleshooting

o   Migrating/Upgrading

·       Proficient with PowerShell

·       Proficient with Windows Image Engineering (Windows 7 and 10)

·       Experience using tools associated with the Windows ADK (WinPE, Dism, WICD, USMT)

·       Experience with Windows 10 upgrades and wipe-and-load

·       Understanding of Windows Analytics (OMS) nice to have

·       Understanding of Windows Update for Business a nice to have

·       Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10 upgrades and OSD

·       Experience with MDT integration and UDI

·       Good understanding of the Windows 10 roadmap – including features, updates and servicing models (Semi-Annual vs Semi-Annual Targeted)

·       Good understanding of EMS and MDM (Intune) nice to have

·       Experience with BitLocker and App-V
