Sr Registered Nurse (RN) Wellness Coach
- Provide programmatic wellness solutions specifically designed to enhance worker health and productivity at middle and large group employer worksites.
- Implement comprehensive wellness programming and services for groups, through targeted employee/employer education, consulting and outreach initiatives.
- Serve as preceptor for new health/wellness registered nurses and participate in the performances feedback and appraisal process.
- Oversee vendor coordination to schedule and coordinate screenings, and additional health coaching as needed for employer group.
- Establish and maintain a collaborative working environment with Health Services, Marketing, Sales, and Brokers so that the overall wellness concept, brand, and outcomes are effectively communicated.
- Function as an advisor to junior staff and participate in the creation and continuation of corporate wellness committees.
- Present programs to employer groups and brokers at off-site locations, including:
- Health education presentations
- Blood pressure and BMI screenings
- Individualized health coaching
- Participation in value assessment and ROI meetings
- Smoking cessation programs
- Conduct targeted member outreach initiatives to promote member participation in preventive health screenings and chronic condition monitoring.
- Perform triage process.
- Develop appropriate care plans following departmental guidelines and policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- 5 – 7 years of related experience.
- Corporate health or worksite wellness experience preferred
- Background in community health education, health promotion, and/or public health strongly preferred
- Strong clinical background preferred
- Active New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania RN license required at time of hire
- Active Driver’s License required
- Active CPR/AED required
- CHES, ACE, CWWS, or Certified Health Coach Certification preferred
Knowledge Summary:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
- Active participation in, and promotion of, internal Population Health and Wellness programs and initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism required to represent the company in the customer workplace
- Expert public speaking skills – demonstrated experience presenting to mid and large sized groups (up to 200 people) as well as leading small group discussions
- Confidence and experience working with individuals in person on a wide variety of health/wellness issues and or concerns
