Research Analyst
The Research Analyst will be part of the Marketing Data Analytics team and report to the Manager, Marketing Data Analytics. The analyst will be required to do the following:
- Exposure to a wide variety of projects, clients and responsibilities. Engage in a consultative partnership between Marketing, Sales, Product, BTS, and other Informatics teams.
- Effectively communicate research findings, implications and recommendations to team and senior management.
- Understand key objectives of marketing analysis, analyze large sets of data and develop insightful analysis.
- Conduct analyses to address key marketing questions such as who should we target, population segmentation, which marketing mix best drives the right leads into the pipeline at the right cost and timing. Examples include:
- Response profiling
- “Next Best Action”
- Member level profitability
- Life-time value
- Ensure that all recurring and ad hoc Informatics reports conform to requirements and reconcile to designated sources as well as maintain a tracking system for all requests.
- Provide reporting and analysis services utilizing SQL, SSRS, and other IBC enterprise tools and identify areas for reporting consolidation and self-service opportunities.
- Analyze, model, and forecast business performance trends to improve key performance indicators, including providing insight on the expected impact of emerging internal and external drivers.
- Create capability for modeling outcomes of what-if scenarios for products, services, and populations.
- In collaboration with marketing and behavioral analytics partners, develop effective and proven customer segmentation approaches for optimized delivery of programs and services to achieve clinical outcomes and business objectives.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Analytics, or equivalent work experience.
- Two to five years of experience in performing drill down analysis and data mining.
- Demonstrable technical expertise in SQL and MS Office products. Ability to read a relational data model.
- Tableau, SSRS and R expertise preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Candidate must be detail-oriented, have above average analytical and problem solving skills, and can manage complex tasks in addition to possessing excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under time constraints is necessary, as well as a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, be adaptable, and learn new tasks and functions quickly.
- Extremely creative in using uncommon sources of data, conducting novel analyses and establishing new conventions with a “make it happen attitude”
